Editor of www.ferro-alloys.com learnt large Gansu-based and Inner Mongolia-based FeSi producers kept steady operation in China, with some large Gansu-based ferrosilicon producer remained 17 furnaces into operation and 2,000-3,000 mt in warehouse. Ningxia and Qinghai-based major FeSi producers were also keeping steady numbers of furnaces in operation, with overall operation rate being 60-70%.
With the elimination of small furnaces and the upgrading to at least 25,500 KVA, the capacity and output would be on increase in Ningxia and the top main production region might be Ningxia, instead of Qinghai.
